If you’ve tried to claim a shift at SSM but have been unsuccessful, it’s probably because you still need your provisioned worker credential.

What does this mean? We’re setting up your login credentials, so that you can access the electronic systems at SSM Health. You need a login to clock in and out of your shift, retrieve patient information, etc. Once complete, both the facility and ShiftMed will reach out to you directly with login information and confirmation that you are ready to claim.

Workday Login

You’ll receive two emails that involve setting up your Workday login, which is the HRIS system SSM Health uses at its facilities. When you start working at SSM, you must clock in and out of your shifts (including breaks) in Workday AND the ShiftMed app while at the facility.

All Systems Access

After your Workday login information is squared away, you’ll receive another email directing you to access all the other SSM Health systems, such as Tel Tracking, Spacelabs, and EPIC.

Once you have access to these systems, you’ll have your provisioned worker credential and can start claiming shifts at SSM Health in the app. Take note that once you begin working shifts at SSM Health, you’ll use the same username and password to log into all their systems.

Orientation Checklist

When you receive your SSM login credentials from us, we’ll include a Skills and Environment of Care Orientation Checklist. Your SSM Health preceptor will use this checklist to sign off on your skills during your 12-hour orientation shift.

You must send your completed and signed checklist to ssmhealth@shiftmed.com after your orientation shift with SSM Health is finished. The checklist becomes part of your credential packet.

Questions?

If you have any questions, contact us by using our chat option in the app. This can be found by selecting the hamburger menu in the lower right-hand corner and selecting "Help Center" and then the "Chat & Help Articles" option.
