California Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Guide
California employers with five or more employees are required by law to provide sexual harassment prevention training to employees every two years. The California Civil Rights Department (CRD) offers free online training courses that meet these requirements.
Who Must Complete the Training?
Under California law:
Non-supervisory employees must complete 1 hour of training
Supervisory employees must complete 2 hours of training
Training must be completed every 2 years
Employers with 5 or more employees are required to comply with the law

How to Complete the Training
Visit the CRD training portal
Select your preferred language
Choose the correct training type:
Supervisory
Non-supervisory
Complete all required modules and quizzes
Submit your information at the end of the course to generate your completion certificate
Saving Your Certificate
After completing the course, you will be prompted to generate a certificate of completion.
You should:
Save a PDF copy
Take a screenshot or photo
Print a physical copy if required
The CRD does not issue replacement certificates, so it is important to save your certificate immediately after completion.
Submit your certificate through the ShiftMed App:
Upload the saved certificate to the "My Credentials' section of the ShiftMed app under the "CA Sexual Harassment Training Drawer".
Please Note: This is an unpaid training that could take up to two hours to complete. We will also accept other sexual harassment training certifications completed within the last 2 years.
