ShiftMed wants to take care of you while you take care of patients. That’s why we provide access to quality, affordable health insurance benefits through Hooray Health.

Our partnership with Hooray Health provides flexible benefit plans involving medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance options. You can enroll for benefits separately or as part of a comprehensive Hooray Health medical plan.

With a Hooray Health medical plan, you can look forward to unlimited 24/7 telemedicine visits that cost $0, an extensive network of urgent care and retail clinics with $25 copays (no balance bill), accident coverage, wellness services, and more.

Enrollment Details

New ShiftMed Hires

As a new ShiftMed hire, you can enroll for Hooray Health coverage before working your first shift at shiftmed.myhoorayhealth.com. Your benefits become active after receiving your first paycheck.

If you decide to enroll after receiving your first paycheck, you have four weeks to sign up with Hooray Health using the custom enrollment link emailed to you by enrollment@hoorayhealthcare.com. Your coverage will become active after your first payroll deduction.

ShiftMed Rehires

If you’ve been inactive with ShiftMed for more than 90 days and start claiming shifts again, you can enroll for Hooray Health coverage at shiftmed.myhoorayhealth.com—just be sure to do so within four weeks of getting your first paycheck. Your coverage will become active after your first payroll deduction.

Current ShiftMed Workers

All ShiftMed healthcare professionals not enrolled in Hooray Health benefits can sign up for coverage at shiftmed.myhoorayhealth.com during the annual enrollment period in October, with coverage going into effect on November 1.

Qualifying Life Event

Suppose you’re a ShiftMed healthcare professional facing a qualifying life event, such as a family change or loss of other coverage. In that case, you can enroll for Hooray Health benefits at shiftmed.myhoorayhealth.com—just be sure to do so within four weeks of the qualifying life event. Your coverage will become active after your first payroll deduction.

All active W-2 ShiftMed healthcare professionals can sign up for Hooray Health benefits during the specified open enrollment period in October.

When do my Hooray Health benefits go into effect? 

If you enroll as a new hire, rehire, or an employee who has experienced a qualifying event, your benefits become active after your first payroll deduction. If you sign up during open enrollment period, your benefits go into effect on November 1.
