Here is information on how to submit a request to renew your PA CNA License.
Use the following website: PA Department of State
CNAs must show that they have worked at least one 8-hour shift at a facility in order to renew your license. When completing the renewal online you must select the name of a facility that you have worked an 8-hour shift within the last 24 months. A list of facilities will be provided on the website. DO NOT select ShiftMed.
Since we are a Staffing Agency we cannot register to be on the list for PA CNA Facilities. This list contains Skilled Nursing Facilities. This is why when completing the renewal you need to select the name of a facility where you worked an 8-hour shift within the last 24 months.
Employer Section of the Renewal Process Notes:
For the Employer, enter the name of the last facility that you worked an 8-hour shift. Be sure to enter the full name of the facility. The name of the facility must match the name of the facility as on their registry list.
For the Address, enter the address for the facility that was used for the Employer field.
Please note that nothing is needed from ShiftMed or the facility to complete this renewal process online. The key is to be sure to enter the name of the facility correctly in the Employer field.
