Some of our facilities in New Mexico require an additional background check with the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH). If you try to unlock a shift that requires this your information will be sent to our credentialing team. You may already have fingerprint results in the NMDOH system that we can link to, if not we will reach out.

If the credentialing department needs you to get fingerprinted they will email you a fingerprint request form for the state of NM. Please follow these steps to complete set up your fingerprinting appointment.

You will only have 20 calendar days to complete your fingerprints once the authorization form has been created.

Your authorization and expiration dates will be included in an attachment from the ShiftMed Credentialing team.

Steps to schedule your fingerprinting appointment:

  1. Select "Schedule New Appointment"

2. Enter your ORI number. Your ORI was sent via email.

3. Enter your Determination ID, Date of Birth, and Last Name. Your Determination ID was sent via email.

4. Sign your Acknowledgement/Release

5. Search for fingerprinting locations by Zip Code

6. Select time and day that you can complete your fingerprinting

7. Fill out our demographic information

8. Pay and complete Registration.

ShiftMed will not cover the cost of New Mexico Fingerprints

Once you have completed your fingerprints your results will be sent electronically for ShiftMed to upload. This can take 3-5 business days after you have been fingerprinted.
