Sally has 2 children under the age of 17. So, she would enter $4,000 for Line 3.

2 dependents under the age of 17 * $2,000 = $4,000

Example 2:

Sara has 3 children under the age of 17 and 1 child that is 18. So, she would enter $6,500 for Line 3.
