How to Add Specialties to the App

Whether you're a CNA, LPN, or RN, it's easy to add your specialty or specialties to the ShiftMed app and set our verification process in motion. There are two ways to add specialties: from the My Credentials section or your shift feed.

From My Credentials

1. Go to Your My Credentials app section and select the Additional tab.

2. Tap the Specialties option and Search for the specialties that apply to you.

3. Select your Specialties from the Drop-Down menu and tap Submit for Review.

4. Complete and return the verification form we sent you via text for our team to review.

Your specialty or specialties will show up as pending in the app until we verify your information. Once your information is verified, we'll send you an SMS notification.

From Your Shift Feed

1. Tap the Unlock button on the shift card.

2. Select the Specialties requirement section within the Unlock Facility screen.

3. Tap the Add Specialties button, then select any specialties that apply to you.

4. Tap the Submit for Review button.

5. Complete and return the verification form we sent you via text for our team to review.

Your specialty or specialties will show up as pending in the app until we verify your information. Once your information is verified, we'll send you an SMS notification.

If you have multiple professional licenses, you can select the specialties that relate to those licenses in the app.
