Background Check Steps

Before you can start your background check, you must first have your core credentials verified. This includes your Professional License, Identification and I-9.

  • Complete the Oklahoma Consent and Release Authorization and Oklahoma Provisional Employment Form in the 'My Documents' section of the ShiftMed app.

  • ShiftMed will process and verify your Background Check on the OK-SCREEN website.

    • If you have previously been fingerprinted and have results available on OK-SCREEN, ShiftMed may be able to process your Background Check immediately.

    • If you do not have current results on OK-SCREEN, ShiftMed will register you with OK-SCREEN

      • You will receive an email with a copy of the registration form that you will need to use to schedule an appointment to complete the fingerprinting.

Scheduling Your Fingerprinting

  • All of the information that you will need to schedule your appointment will be contained in the email from ShiftMed.

    • You can schedule your fingerprint appointment online or by calling IdentoGo directly.

    • You will need a Service Code and Determination Number.

  • Once completed, you will need to notify ShiftMed by emailing your proof of completion to bg@shiftMed.com

What Happens Next

  • Fingerprinting results are typically available within 7 - 10 business days.

  • While processing, your Background Check credential will appear as "Pending" in the My Credentials section of the app.

The ShiftMed app will notify you right away when you are available to start working.

Once Your Background Check is Complete

When we receive the final results, your profile and credential status will be updated automatically. You will then see this requirement marked as complete.
