Everything you need to know about completing the EKG Assessment

What is the EKG Assessment?

The EKG Assessment is a short evaluation designed to demonstrate your ability to interpret telemetry strips.

  • Completed during onboarding, before claiming an orientation shift.

  • Automatically graded by the app, with a record created upon completion.

  • Can be saved and exited to complete at your own pace.


Who needs it?

  • Required for RNs with a Medical Specialty or Surgical Specialty on file.


How to complete it

  • Located in the app under "My Credentials."

Select the EKG assessment, attest to the directions, and select answers.

  • Use "Continue" to move forward and "Save and Exit" to return later.


Passing Score & Attempts

  • A passing score of 80% or higher is required.

  • You are given 2 attempts to pass.

After Completion

  • The assessment is automatically graded and the score is shown after submission.

If You Fail

  • If you fail the first attempt, you can select "retake EKG Assessment" on the score screen.

  • If you fail both attempts, you will be unable to retake the assessment.


Expiration

  • The EKG assessment expires after 5 years and must be retaken.
