Healthcare professionals are exposed to various infectious diseases when caring for patients. Therefore, you should stay up-to-date on routine vaccinations, such as measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR).
According to the CDC, adults without evidence of immunity should get at least one dose of the MMR vaccine. Certain adults, such as healthcare professionals, should receive two doses separated by at least 28 days.
Vaccine and Titer Requirements
Some ShiftMed facility partners require healthcare professionals to show proof of MMR vaccination or a titer test. In other words, if you don't meet the requirements, the ShiftMed app won't allow you to claim shifts at these locations.
