Want to master the art of managing your credentials in the ShiftMed app? This article covers everything you need to know about adding, updating, and checking the status of your credentials in the app's My Credentials section.

Getting to the My Credentials Section

It's easy to navigate over to the My Credentials section of the app.

  • Tap the Hamburger Menu at the bottom right corner of your screen.

  • Tap the Credentials section on your profile screen.

Credential Alert

After tapping the Credentials section on your profile screen, an alert message will display if you have a missing, expired, or rejected credential.

If you're ready to upload a new or updated credential, you can select the Add Credentials button. If not, you can tap Not Now and do it later.

Required Credentials

We must verify these credentials before you can start claiming shifts in the app. Take note that some credential requirements vary from state to state. Check out state-specific credential requirements here.

It's easy to keep tabs on where your credentials stand because the app will list them as:

  • Missing, you need to upload the credential.

  • Pending, your credential is under review.

  • Verified, your credential is good to go.

Additional Credentials

These are credentials you don't need to work with ShiftMed. However, some of our healthcare partners have requirements specific to their facilities. That's why the more credentials you have on file with us, the more shift opportunities you have to choose from.

We must verify all of your additional credentials before you can claim shifts at facilities with unique requirements. You can keep tabs on these credentials just as you would the required credentials.

Rejected Credentials

If you upload a credential document that we're unable to accept, we'll send you a text notification indicating your submission has been rejected and for what reason.

The app will also show the credential as rejected. At this point, you'll need to re-upload an acceptable credential document for us to verify.
