To better support our partners at Louisiana Children's Medical Center (LCMC), we’ve introduced a new EKG Assessment credential in the app. This update enhances the onboarding experience and helps LCMC facilities quickly understand your proficiency in reading telemetry strips.

What is the EKG Assessment?

The EKG Assessment is a short evaluation designed to demonstrate your ability to interpret telemetry strips. It is part of the onboarding process and must be completed before claiming an orientation shift.

  • The assessment is automatically graded and recorded in the app.

  • You can save your progress and return later—complete it at your own pace.

  • Valid for: 5 years

  • Attempts allowed: 2

  • Passing score: 80% or higher

  • Your results will be visible immediately after submission.

Do I Need to Complete the EKG Assessment?

The EKG Assessment is required only for health care providers who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold an RN professional license

    AND

  • Have a Medical or Surgical specialty on file

If you meet these requirements, you’ll be prompted to complete the EKG Assessment during onboarding. This helps ensure you're well-prepared and aligned with the expectations of LCMC facilities.

Steps for Completing the Assessment:

  1. Go to “My Credentials

  2. Select EKG Assessment

  3. You will be given an Attestation to sign stating you understand the directions

  4. You will then select your answers

  5. If you cannot complete the entire Assessment you can click the “Save and Exit” button

    1. Once you decide you are ready to complete the quiz you will go back to “My Credentials” and click the Assessment

  6. When you come back you will be taken to the first question, all answers will be saved, you just needs to click “Continue” until you come to the question you have not answered.

  7. After selecting all the answers and submitting the quiz will be automatically graded and your score will display

  8. If you fail you will get one more chance to complete the assessment with an 80% or higher

  9. If you fail the second take you will not be able to take it again.
