What is an "Authorized Representative"?

An "Authorized Representative" is someone we use to verify a potential employees identification documents in-person.  You are able to select who you want to be your "Authorized Representative". The person you select can be anyone you know that is over the age of 18, including an immediate family member.  You must enter a person that is not yourself.  You are not permitted to be your own "Authorized Representative".  This person also needs to have an email address.  You cannot use your own email address for your "Authorized Representative".

Why do I need an "Authorized Representative"?

An "Authorized Representative" is needed to help complete your Form I-9.  When you first begin your employment at a job, on the first day you usually have to bring in two forms of ID to complete your employment verification. We also require the same process but since we are a remote organization; we allow you to select an "Authorized Representative" who can verify your documents on our behalf.

What will the "Authorized Representative" need to do?

Once a potential employee has progressed in the Onboarding process, your "Authorized Representative"  will be sent an email that they will need to complete once they have reviewed and verified your identification documents in-person.
