When will I have a show rate?

When the app displays a "-" for the Show Rate - this indicates that your Show Rate has not been established yet.

As a new nurse or aide on the ShiftMed nursing team, you’ll need to work 4 shifts to establish your show rate.

Scheduling and arriving to all 4 shifts will reflect a 100% show rate–which is what you should aim for! Be aware that other actions can impact your show rate negatively so only claim shifts you know you can show up to.

The following shift scenarios can establish your show rate:

  • Schedule a shift and you arrive for the shift (positive impact)

  • Schedule a shift and you walk out of the shift (negative impact)

  • Schedule a shift and you cancel the shift (negative impact)

  • Schedule a shift and you call out of the shift (negative impact)

  • Schedule a shift and you no call no show for the shift (negative impact)

Please note arriving for scheduled shifts will have a positive impact on your show rate, while cancelling, walking out and not showing up will all have a negative impact on your show rate.

A facility cancellation does not impact your show rate as it will not count towards or against it.
