For all Florida Healthcare Professionals (CNA, LPN, RN) joining the ShiftMed team, see below for steps to complete your background check.
Background Check Steps:
Once your TB Test, Annual Physical, Identification, and Professional License credentials are all verified by ShiftMed’s credentialing team, you will then be invited to complete your Background Check.
You will see the Florida Background Check Authorization form in the 'My Documents' section of the ShiftMed app.
You must complete this form in order to continue your Background Check process.
Once this form has been completed, ShiftMed will process and verify your Background Check on the AHCA website.
If you have previously been fingerprinted, ShiftMed will then check AHCA for your eligibility status and date:
If your eligibility date is within the past 90 days, ShiftMed will process your Background Check and update your profile to complete your background check credential.
If your eligibility date is not within the past 90 days, ShiftMed will submit a resubmission on your behalf.
Note: This takes 5-7 days to process.
If you have not been fingerprinted before from the AHCA website, then you will receive a form to complete your fingerprinting at a local Fast FingerPrint location.
You will need to notify ShiftMed of when this has been completed by emailing ShiftMedCreds@ShiftMed.com
