Background Check Steps
Before you can start your background check, you must first have your core credentials verified. This includes your Professional License, Identification and I-9.
You will receive an email from ShiftMed with the subject "ShiftMed Fingerprint for background check" containing detailed instructions on how to complete your fingerprinting.
Once your fingerprints are submitted, ShiftMed will verify your results directly with the Colorado Applicant Background Services (CABS) database to advance your application.
The ShiftMed app will notify you right away when you are available to start working.
What Happens Next
After being fingerprinted, we can receive results in 24-48 hours.
While processing, your Background Check credential will appear as "Pending" in the My Credentials section of the app.
Once Your Background Check is Complete
When we receive the final results, your profile and credential status will be updated automatically. You will then see this requirement marked as complete.
