Online Learning

1st Shift at this Hospital

  • This hospital does not provide a formal orientation, rather a quick tour and review of their emergency codes and protocols.

  • You have access to a Nurse Supervisor/Manager for any questions.

  • The expectation is that you’re able to function independently as you have the required experience.

  • For a look at their charting (ChartPad), click here.

Attendance Policy & Expectations

  • Clocking in and out:

    • You are required to clock in and out for every shift using the ShiftMed app.

    • You must collect a signature from a Nurse Supervisor at the completion of your shift.

  • Missed Punches:

    • If you are unable to use the app, you must promptly request a missed punch form from the Care Team to correct your time.

  • Cancelling a Shift:

    • If you need to cancel a shift, you must both report it in the ShiftMed app
      AND notify the hospital directly.

      • The hospital's contact information is available within the facility info section of the app.

  • Attendance Expectations:

    • While ShiftMed is an “on-demand” or “PRN” platform and may classify attendance violations on a weighted scale for Call Outs, Cancels, and Unschedules (more details here), the Landmark hospitals have high expectations for attendance for all staff and view any change in schedule to a claimed shift as an attendance violation.

    • We ask that you please be intentional with your claiming of shifts and only claim those that you know you truly can work.

    • Failure to adhere to these procedures, or patterns of excessive lateness or cancellations, may impact your future shift opportunities at all Landmark hospitals.

  • Hospital Cancellations:

    • Please note that Landmark does have the option to cancel a shift with more than 2hrs before its start to support their fluctuating staffing needs. (This does not apply to Guaranteed shifts)

    • If you’re cancelled with more than 2hrs before start of shift, you do not receive compensation from ShiftMed but are able to pursue other work opportunities on the ShiftMed app.

    • If you have concerns about hospital cancellations, please reach out to LTACRecruiting@shiftmed.com.
