Scion Attendance Policy

  • HCPs are expected to provide a minimum 4hr notice for any call out/cancel.

Please note: Excessive call outs will lead to DNR.

ShiftMed Attendance Policy & Expectations

  • Clocking in and out:

    • You are required to clock in and out for every shift using the ShiftMed app.

  • Missed Punches:

    • If you are unable to use the app, you must promptly request a missed punch form from the Care Team to correct your time.

  • Cancelling a Shift:

    • If you need to cancel a shift, you must report it in the ShiftMed app.

  • Attendance Expectations:

    • While ShiftMed operates as an “on-demand” or “PRN” platform and may categorize attendance events - such as call-outs, cancellations, and unscheduled shifts - using a weighted system (see more details here), our hospital partners maintain high attendance expectations and may consider any change to a claimed shift to be an attendance violation.

    • Failure to adhere to these procedures, or patterns of excessive lateness or cancellations, may impact your future shift opportunities at all Scion Health facilities.
