SSM: Sunday - Saturday

ShiftMed Support is available 24/7 through the Chat or by phone.
Overtime
SSM Employees are allotted 60 hours a week
Employees are paid on a ShiftMed work week, as Overtime is based on the SSM work week.
For more information on Overtime, check out this article.
Missed Punches
All Missed Punch Forms for SSM facilities will be handled by our SSM Team.
Contact the Caregiver Support line at the phone number 800-485-9002 for further assistance.
Guaranteed Shifts
During the SSM work week, RNs can only work 3 Guaranteed Shifts® and 2 Regular Shifts.
CNAs are not restricted by Guaranteed Shifts®
Any shift that is claimed and exceeds this limit will be adjusted to a Regular shift status.
Any shifts that are Facility Cancelled because of this max being reached, will not qualify for the Guaranteed shift payment.
“Late Claims” are not eligible for Guaranteed Shift payment or Sent Home cancelation fees.
For more information on Guaranteed Shifts, please visit our Guaranteed Shifts®: What You Need to Know article.
Provisioned Worker Credential
If you’ve tried to claim a shift at SSM but have been unsuccessful, it’s probably because you still need your Provisioned Worker credential.
Provisioning prepares your login credentials for all facility systems, including charting and timekeeping. When you start working at SSM, you must clock in and out of your shifts (including breaks) in Workday AND the ShiftMed app while at the facility.
SSM system access, including Workday, Epic, and Pyxis, will be deactivated after 60 days of inactivity.
To request re-activation, email: ssmhealth@shiftmed.com
Workday Login
You’ll receive two emails that involve setting up your Workday login, which is the HRIS system SSM Health uses at its facilities.
All Other Systems Access
After your Workday login information is squared away, you’ll receive another email directing you to access all the other SSM Health systems, such as Tel Tracking, Spacelabs, and EPIC. You'll also receive your Orientation Checklist. More info on this credential can be found below.
Once you have access to all required systems, your Provisioned Worker credential will be set to verified and you can start claiming shifts through the ShiftMed app.
If you require assistance resetting your password for your SSM accounts, please refer this section.
Orientation Checklist
When you receive your SSM login credentials from us, we’ll include a Skills Validation Checklist.
Your SSM Health preceptor will use this checklist to sign off on your skills during your 12-hour orientation shift.
You must send your completed and signed checklist to ssmhealth@shiftmed.com after your orientation shift with SSM Health is finished. The checklist becomes part of your credential packet.
If you have not received this checklist, you can request it from our SSM Teams via email at SSMhealth@shiftmed.com
If you have previously completed orientation at SSM, but have not worked there in the last 6 months, you will be required to attend another orientation shift.
For more information on Orientation Shifts, check out this article.
Workday Password Reset
To prevent shift cancellations due to login issues, please reset your password at least 24 hours before your shift begins.
SSM requires its healthcare professionals to use one of these official methods.
ShiftMed cannot reset SSM passwords on your behalf.
Option 1: Online Password Reset Portal
Go to: ssmhealth.com/passwordreset
Select “Employee Password Reset.
Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new password that meets SSM's security requirements.
Option 2: Microsoft Authenticator App
If you have already set up your SSM Self Portal with the Microsoft Authenticator app, you can use it to reset your password securely.
If you have not set up the Authenticator app, you must do so first.
Please refer to SSM's setup guides for detailed instructions.
Option 3: Contact SSM Help Desk
If the above options are unsuccessful, call the SSM Help Desk at 866-776-4357.
Select Option 1 for both prompts.
You will be guided through the reset process. Please have the last four digits of your Social Security Number ready for identity verification.
Mask Fit Credential
The Mask Fit Test should be completed while on the shift, or you can go to the Hospitals "Employee Health Office" during the Business hours of MON - FRI 9am-2pm CST.
For more information on the Mask Fit Test and Clearance, check out this article.
FLOAT Agreement
The FLOAT Agreement is a signed form needed in order to complete your SSM registration.
Once Signed it can be located in your "Documents" Tab within your ShiftMed app for review.

This process is completed during Orientation.
Once completed, you should receive the badge upon your first shift or at the Security Office during Business hours: MON -FRI 9am-2pm CST.
