Background checks can take a varying amount of time to be completed depending on a few different factors such as, the size and location of your city, the county you are in, and the courthouse itself.

We at ShiftMed appreciate your patience during this time and will update you throughout your background check processing.

What causes delays in a Background Check?

  • Differing State Regulations

  • Incomplete Data Records

  • Third- Party Delays

  • Data confirmation takes time

  • The mercy of the Courts

Please note that Healthcare Professionals that are hired by ShiftMed are W-2 employees and not independent contractors. We complete all state required background checks as a W-2 employers. Please note that the background check that is required by ShiftMed may be different than the background check requested by a 1099 company.
